The Presence of the Holocaust in society, politics and culture, c.1970 – 2015

The conference will focus on the ‘Presence of the Holocaust’ in society, politics and culture since 1970 and explore the growth and development of Holocaust history and memory over the past four decades.

Keynote speakers include Professors Aleida Assmann, Wulf Kansteiner, Dan Stone, Dan Michman and Tom Lawson and Dr Lisa Pine. Full details of conference themes are at http://www.holocausteducation.org.uk/courses-events/bahs.

The Presence of the Holocaust is the annual conference of the British Association for Holocaust Studies (http://www.southampton.ac.uk/bahs/index.page?) and is hosted by UCL’s Centre for Holocaust Education (http://www.holocausteducation.org.uk/).

The registration deadline for attendees is Friday 1 July. The full cost of the conference is £120. Single day bookings are also available at £60, a half day at £30, or participants are welcome to book a range of sessions.

The BAHS was founded in August 2013 in collaboration with Holocaust Studies: A Journal of Culture and History, to promote the study of the Holocaust in British schools, colleges and universities.
