Westminster Abbey Museum. Lecture Theatre of Westminster School
Westminster Abbey, the final resting place of Henry V, marks the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt this autumn with a special one-day conference for Henry V academics, students and enthusiasts. The conference will bring together experts from the fields of armour, architecture and conservation for the first time to uncover the significance of Henry V’s funerary achievements – the king’s shield, saddle, sword and helm – carried at his funeral, which took place at Westminster Abbey. Henry V’s achievements today form part of the Abbey’s collection and there will be an opportunity to view them before the conference. All sessions will be held in the Lecture Theatre of Westminster School. Directions will be provided at registration.
