The South-West in the Napoleonic Wars - SYMPOSIUM

Join us for this joint Regional History Centre / Waterloo Association event on the South-West in the Napoleonic Wars. The speaking programme includes: the stories of Bristol men in the wars, black soldiers in the regiments of the South-West, the adventures of Exeter’s artillery officer Captain Cavalie Mercer, the Old French Prison at Stapleton, Cheltenham celebrity General Charles Lefebvre-Desnouettes, and the battle of Wavre 1815. A lunchtime ‘show and tell’ gives delegates the opportunity to examine period artefacts and experience a tabletop depiction of the battle of Waterloo.

Booking by Eventbrite is essential.
