The Ridings of Yorkshire Society are back for 2024 with the annual ROYS conference. We are a group dedicated to celebrating Yorkshire’s past, and its researchers, across a variety of disciplines. We would like to invite researchers to submit abstracts for papers to present at the conference which will take place on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th June 2024. Our two-day conference will be held at Heritage Quay at the University of Huddersfield.
We once again invite researchers of any aspect of Yorkshire’s past and culture to submit paper proposals to speak at the Conference. We are seeking papers from a variety of disciplines including but not limited to: English, History, Archaeology, and the wider Arts and Humanities. If you’re unsure whether your topic is suitable, please do not hesitate to email us (it probably is!). Paper presentations will be 20 minutes, with time for questions at the end of each panel.
Please send an abstract of no more than 300 words for your proposed paper to ridingsofyorkshire@gmail.com; alongside a short biography of yourself. If you’d like more information about the process or the conference in general, please get in touch.
