Catholic Record Society 66th Annual Conference

The Council of the Catholic Record Society (CRS) is pleased to announce that registration for the 66th Annual Conference is now open. The CRS was established in 1904 for the study and preservation of Catholic history in Britain and Ireland, and of the British and Irish Catholic diaspora worldwide. As well as the annual conference, the Society proudly supports innovative scholarship through the dissemination of its record series, monograph series, and research grants. It also produces the scholarly journal, British Catholic History which is published by Cambridge University Press, and now in its 36th volume.

We are committed to offering a fully accessible conference. Delegates with accessibility needs are asked to provide details of how we can offer support them by emailing the Conference Director, Dr Helen Kilburn:

The Council is also pleased to offer a small number of bursaries to defray the cost of attendance at the conference, to a maximum value of £300. The Council will consider applications from postgraduate students, early career researchers (ECR), and independent scholars. The Society defines and ECR according to guidelines provided by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC):

Delegates who wish to apply for a bursary should email the Conference Director, Dr Helen Kilburn for more details:

Delegates can attend the conference as either a residential delegate, day delegate, or online delegate. We have reserved a small number of rooms at Hinsley Hall to accommodate arrivals on 21st July for delegates travelling a significant distance. After members of the Society were given early bird access, we now have only a handful of tickets for residential delegates remaining. We recommend that delegates who wish to stay at Hinsley Hall register soon, though accommodation is available in Leeds for those who register as day delegates instead.

Details about all tickets, and what they include, can be found at our Eventbrite page.
