National Windrush Museum Summer Season Greenwich 2024

International Conference and Festival: Rewind and Remix 2 – Title: Future Identities: Migration, Settlement, and Transformation.

On June 19th, 2024, 8 am-5 pm, the National Windrush Museum will host an International Conference at Greenwich University close to the NWM.

The keynote lecture will be presented by Professor Robert Beckford, University of Winchester, Director of the Institute for Climate and Social Justice and broadcaster. The day will be filled with other lectures, workshops, and in-conversation sessions. The conference will promote a Windrush e-book. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit a poetry event at the Calabash African Restaurant 7pm – 11 pm.

The conference continues on June 20, 8 am-3:30 pm. The keynote lecture will be given by Ms, Tonya Nelson Executive Director, Enterprise and Innovation, Arts Council. Talks and workshops will focus on Windrush Cultures, Digital, Innovation & Futures. Sessions will be led by the NWM Next GEN, exploring the intersection of AI, communications, social media, culture, style, and the future of the Windrush generation.
