The Medieval and Early Modern Students Association (MEMSA) at Durham University is delighted to announce our Call for Papers for our 19th Annual Conference on the theme of ‘Illuminating Nature: Explorations of Science, Religion, and Magic.’
The conference will take place 21-22 July 2025 at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Durham Castle. Both the conference itself and the association more generally are oriented towards promoting postgraduate and early career research, and we eagerly encourage submissions from these groups. The conference will offer attendees the opportunity to present their own research as well as attend panels on current research directions. It also provides crucial networking opportunities for building connections between early career and senior academics across a range of disciplines in Medieval and Early Modern Studies.
Our Call for Papers will be open through 30 April; to find out more, click to here download the Call for Papers
