Call for Applications, deadline – 27 September 2024
Are you interested in joining the editorial board of The Historian? We are looking to recruit two new volunteers. This is a unique opportunity to use and develop your skills and meet other volunteers while contributing to the editorial process of a magazine for interested non-specialists.
The Historian’s editorial board members meet roughly once every two months to set the editorial direction of the magazine. This includes reviewing submissions and pitches, catching up on progress with forthcoming issues, and discussing points of interest.
The duties of editorial board members include:
- Attend and proactively contribute to virtual and face-to-face board meetings
- Review, in conjunction with other board members, submissions and pitches for potential inclusion in the magazine
- Ensure that content supports the aims and ideals of the HA and its work
- Contribute ideas for the editorial direction of the magazine as well as its improvement
- Support the overall editorial process as required
All editors must be, or be willing to become, members of the Historical Association.
