Camden’s rich history of Black radical activism comes to life with historian and author Professor Olivette Otele delivering a powerful keynote on the early activists who fought for abolition and social reform. Professor Otele will be joined afterwards for an ‘in conversation’ with Charmaine Simpson (CEO Black History Studies) and Sandra Shakespeare (Founder of the Black British Museum Project). The event will be chaired by Athian Akec (social activist and author).
