We invite chapter proposals for an edited volume provisionally entitled Sport and Politics in Twenty-First Century Britain, which examines the dynamic relationship between sport and politics in modern Britain.
Sport has become an increasingly significant arena in which political identities, public policy, social movements, and national debates are contested and negotiated. From politicians’ engagement with major sporting events to controversies surrounding governance, equality, identity, and historical accountability, sport provides an important lens through which to understand contemporary British politics and society.
