The next session in our talks programme will be on Wednesday November 4, at 2.30 pm in LSE Library Room 01, when Lorna Hawthorne will speak on ‘A British Woman and an Ambulance Convoy’.
In previous years, we have heard about the work of the Scottish Women’s Hospitals in Serbia in World War I. This year, as Armistice Day approaches, our Treasurer’s presentation is an all-too topical take on British women’s ambulance work in Eastern Europe. Lorna will present a strictly contemporary account of her own recent journey to Ukraine.
As usual, this will be a hybrid session; kindly inform the Secretary, [email protected] if you are attending in person, preferably by Monday 2 November.
