Women in Uniform
This interdisciplinary special issue seeks to bring together established and early career researchers whose work examines uniformed civilian and military women in Britain across contexts of both war and peace. Adopting a focused geographical scope and an expansive chronological framework spanning the nineteenth century to the present, the issue will explore a broad range of themes, including representations, identities, lived experiences, memory, and the design and materiality of uniforms.
