Workshop on Emotions and Scottish History - WORKSHOP

This Workshop seeks to bring together scholars with interests in or around the intersections of emotions history and Scottish History to share ideas across periods and approaches, to reflect on common themes and methods, and to discuss further possibilities for research and collaboration.

In order to provide as much space as possible for discussion and interaction, the day will be structured around sessions with short presentations on current research, and two roundtables bringing together ideas from the sessions and involving all participants in the conversation. We hope to provide a space to share current research and ideas in this emerging field, and to stimulate further activities in future.

All are welcome to attend, and to contribute to the discussions. Thanks to generous support from the School of History, Classics and Archaeology, the event will be free to attend including lunch and refreshments. Spaces are limited, and registration is required, with a deadline to register of 3rd July 2025.

The programme and registration page can be found here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/workshop-on-emotions-and-scottish-history-tickets-1401610467639?aff=oddtdtcreator
