Who Makes History: Journeys into Community History - PANEL DISCUSSION

 

A panel discussion of community-based researchers and academics will explore the challenges and opportunities facing historians across the UK; as well as the impact of community history methodologies on research, teaching and public understandings of ‘History’ as a subject.

Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with the panel which consists of Sadiya Ahmed (Director, Everyday Muslim), Professor Tim Cole (Bristol University), Euton Daley MBE (Director, Unlock the Chains Collective) and Professor Alison Twells (Sheffield Hallam University) and is chaired by Dr Priya Atwal (Community History Fellow, University of Oxford).

The event is free to attend but registration is encouraged, everyone is welcome to this and other events in the series hosted by the Oxford History Faculty’s new Community History Hub to discuss new directions in the field of History.
