Unearthing the South Asia Collections

Call for Papers, deadline – Tuesday 31 May 2022

We are inviting abstracts for 15-minute papers on any aspect of the British Library’s South Asia collections for two in-person research seminars that will take place at the Library in September 2022. Subjects might include, but are not limited to: the politics and economics of South Asia, the literary tradition of any South Asian language, or historical perspectives from any time period in South Asian history, however all abstracts must use or have a connection to the Library’s South Asia collections. We particularly encourage applications from independent/unaffiliated and emerging scholars.

Please submit abstracts (300-500 words) and a brief biography to TwoCenturies@bl.uk. You will be informed if you have been successful by Friday 10 June 2022. Please do get in touch in case of any questions.
