Understanding King James VI & I 400 Years On - CONFERENCE

Call for Expressions of Interest

2025 will mark 400 years since the death of King James VI & I of Scotland, England and Ireland.

We are team of PGRs from across the UK who will be hosting a multi-day conference with workshops and activities in Summer 2025 (this will likely be late June but the final dates need to be confirmed) in Glasgow! Here, we want to interrogate James’ rich life and legacy, and showcase the innovative research and work that has been inspired by this.

We will be looking for 15-20 minute papers, or whatever form best represents your work.

We welcome creativity! Applications will be open to those at any stage in their academic or professional career, from any field or sector, as well as independent researchers.

Please register your interest by filling in the online form:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/16g_Wo_Y_96GhQDkzW34zkxY4O07Os-qTMIFyeJa-vZY/edit

You will be asked whether you would be interested in presenting at or attending this conference and for a short summary of your research. This is not our ‘Call for Papers’, which will follow shortly. We hope that this initial step will allow us to create an event that serves diverse interests and perspectives.
