Tristram Hunt to Speak at Samuel Johnson Society Supper - LECTURE

Dr Tristram Hunt, RHS Fellow and Director of the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), will be the guest speaker at the Samuel Johnson Society’s annual supper in Lichfield, Staffordshire, where he will be formally inaugurated as President of the Society. The event, held at the historic Guildhall in Lichfield, is open to all and promises an evening of convivial conversation, good food and Johnsonian celebration.

Alongside Tristram Hunt’s address – in which he will give personal reflections on Johnson’s life and work – the evening includes contributions from local civic leaders and pupils from Samuel Johnson’s former school, King Edward VI School.

Tickets are £45 per person (including dinner and a glass of Dr Johnson’s favourite punch). Please book via the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum, Breadmarket Street, Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS13 6LG. Tel: 01543 264972. sjmuseum@lichfield.gov.uk
