The Memory Box – Being Human Festival, 2021

Date / time: 11 November - 20 November, 12:00 am

The Memory Box - Being Human Festival, 2021

The Memory Box is an at-home project to tell, explore and discover histories.

This is your chance to collect together gems from your past, mementoes from your present and your hopes for the future, in a celebration of the important stories we all have to share.

What’s involved

‘The Memory Box’ consists of a series of postal packs that will be posted to you around the Being Human festival, 11-20 November, for you to complete at a time that best suits you. There will be creative activities, prompts on how to conceptualise your collection and helpful insights from the University of London’s Senate House Library, which hosts archive collections from many famous literary figures. The packages will have everything you need to participate (including the memory box itself!) – you only need to add your own personal objects if desired.

Sign up by 1 November to ensure you receive your Memory Box in time for the Being Human festival.
Please note – although participation in the project is free, it is only open to those who live in the UK due to postal logistics.
