This one-day conference complements our new exhibition to mark the 500th anniversary of The Field of Cloth of Gold, Henry VIII’s diplomatic summit with Francis I of France, one of the greatest and most conspicuous displays of wealth, pageantry and culture that Europe has ever seen.
