The Cabinet of Curiosities at the University of York, in association with the Centre for Renaissance and Early Modern Studies, is excited to present our line up for the one-day conference, “The Early Modern World: Near & Far, 1450-1650”.

A full day of interdisciplinary presentations that explores the concepts, ideas and movements of the early modern period and their
wider implications.
We are honoured to have Professor Andrew Hadfield from the University of Sussex as our keynote speaker.
His keynote is titled: Rome and the English Imagination.
