Revisiting sources and themes in parish histories

This conference will provide an opportunity to see a range of parish sources held in the Canterbury Cathedral archives & library. Then attendees at Old Sessions, CCCU, can hear talks about a major project on parish records, hear about a Kent case study based on a period that sees the loss of many parish records and the introduction of some new sources, revisit debates about the taking of communion in the early modern period, and celebrate the achievement of Valerie Hitchman on the launch of her Database of Churchwardens’ Accounts hosted by the Warwick Network for Parish Research. Exhibition: Canterbury Cathedral Archives & Library, CT1 2HG: 9.30–10.45Lectures & Plenary Panel: Old Sessions House, CCCU, CT1 1PL: 11.00–16.30
