Prejudice Past, Present and Future

A conference to celebrate the 50th birthday of Patterns of Prejudice

The conference will begin on the evening of Wednesday 13 December, with a drinks reception at 5:30pm, and continues from 9:00am on Thursday 14 December. Refreshments and lunch will be provided on the Thursday.

The seven papers will offer various approaches to the principal subject areas covered by Patterns of Prejudice, including racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, forced migration, genocide and the nationalist right. The speakers include Sarah Hackett, Richard H. King, Brian Klug, Mark Levene, Nasar Meer, Susi Meret and Becky Taylor.

Accompanying the conference is a virtual Special Issue of the journal, affectionately known as ‘The POP Charts’, which contains an open access selection of the 60 ‘best’ articles from the journal’s fifty years.
