Methodism and Politics: Wesley Historical Society Conference and Annual Lecture

The Society’s Triennial Conference takes place at Wesley House and Wesley Church, Cambridge, on 22-23 June.

The theme for the event is ‘Methodism and Politics’.

The keynote speaker is Lord (Leslie) Griffiths.

Other speakers include Professor Peter Ackers and Professor Peter Catterall.

Proceedings will culminate with the Annual Lecture at 2.30pm on Saturday 23 June, to be given by Dr. Clive Field, OBE, D.Litt, on the topic ‘Crosses on the Ballot: The Political Alignments of British Methodists, 1832-2017’.
