Medical Science in the Works of Mary Shelley: Beyond Frankenstein, Inside London, Below The Surface Of Nineteenth-Century Society

TUESDAY 1 OCTOBER 6.00pm-7.30pm at Camden Local Studies and Archives Centre, WC1X 8PA

Dr Bethany Brigham will take a broad look at Shelley’s body of work, particularly emphasising her novels beyond ‘Frankenstein’ and the way in which they also incorporate her interest in nineteenth-century medico-scientific contexts.

Dr Bethany Brigham is a scholar of late-eighteenth and nineteenth-century literature, primarily focusing on gothic fiction and women’s writing.
