The Department of History at King’s College London is hosting a symposium in honour of Arthur Burns, a figure who will be well known to many fellows and members of the Society.
The symposium is being organised by Jo Innes, Margot Finn, Tim Hitchcock, Stephen Taylor and Paul Readman, and will be held over two days (10-11 April 2025). It pays tribute to Arthur by examining a theme which runs throughout his own research: the history of institutions and communities in modern Britain.
