The Huguenot Society was founded in 1885 to promote the publication and interchange of knowledge about Huguenot history. This has been achieved through the maintenance of its Library as a research archive, through its annual programme of lectures, through the Huguenot Society Journal (formerly Proceedings), and through editions of Huguenot records issued as part of the occasional Quarto and New Series.
In a new venture, intended to encourage and support further research and to generate future publication, the Society proposes to enhance its charitable purposes by offering a bursary to students researching the Huguenots. The intention is to award annually a grant or grants to cover expenses; the maximum sum available each year is £1,000 and the current deadline for applications is 30 April 2022.
