Help Shape Research on British Empire in Education: CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

As the new academic term begins, we invite you to take part in an important research study on the teaching of the British Empire, migration, and belonging. Your insights will help us understand how these topics are approached in higher education and how they align with secondary school teaching.

Participate in a Quick Online Survey

This survey is part of our three-year project, A portrait of the teaching of the British Empire, migration and belonging in English secondary schools, a collaboration between UCL and the University of Oxford. We are gathering perspectives from historians on:

  • Why does the topic of the British Empire matter?
  • What should teachers and students know about the British Empire?
  • What key texts would you recommend for teachers?

Your contribution will shape professional development for secondary school teachers and help us bridge the gap between academic and school-level teaching of these critical topics.
