This survey is part of our three-year project, A portrait of the teaching of the British Empire, migration and belonging in English secondary schools, a collaboration between UCL and the University of Oxford. We are gathering perspectives from historians on:
- Why does the topic of the British Empire matter?
- What should teachers and students know about the British Empire?
- What key texts would you recommend for teachers?
