The Harlaxton Medieval Symposium this year will be held at Madingley Hall, Cambridge, and the theme will be ‘Women in Late Medieval Britain: Makers, Patrons, and Readers’. It will be convened by Marlene Hennessy and Martha Driver. The Symposium includes a visit to the Library and Archives of St John’s College, Cambridge, and Christ’s College Chapel.
Speakers include Joyce Coleman, Margaret Connolly, Virginia Blanton, Veronica O-Mara, Jennifer N. Brown, Sarah Baechle, Mary Morse, Kathryn Smith, Laura Slater, Jonathan Hughes, Nicholas Orme, Lydia Zeldenrust, S.C. Kaplan, Katharine Hindley, Nicole Rice, Caroline M. Barron, Andrew Prescott, and Julian Luxford. The Pamela-Tudor Craig Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Sue Powell.
Two Dobson Scholarships are available for PGRs and ECRs whose research interests closely align with the theme of this year’s Symposium.
