Friends of The Women's Library Talks Programme

The Friends of the Women’s Library Talks Programme for 2022-23 recommences on Wednesday 21 September at 2.30pm. Professor June Purvis will speak on ‘Christabel Pankhurst 1880-1958; a Biography’.

Future presentations will be hybrid, with links and the location at LSE Library to be announced nearer the time. All will be on Wednesdays at 2.30pm:

  • On 19 October, the former MEP Mary Honeyball will speak on her recent biography of Edith Summerskill.
  • On 16 November, Joanna M. Williams will speak on her new biography of Lydia Becker.
  • On 14 December, Lucy Rodgers will discuss her doctoral research on Pernell Strachey and others of the first cohort of ‘university women’.
