Call for papers – Closes 1 November 2024
For military veterans, while the battles in which they fought may have finished, their legacies linger long after demobilisation. The Returning Soldier Network (Manchester Metropolitan University) invites paper proposals for “‘Demobbed’: The Social, Cultural, Political, and Economic Legacies of Military Service”, to be held 30-31 May 2025. This conference will explore the aftermaths of conflict and its effects on veteran lives, wellbeing, and identities.
We invite proposals for 20-minute papers or themed panels exploring veterancy in the social, cultural, and political context, as well as papers that examine veteran health and disability. Please see ReturningSoldier.co.uk for further information.
