Cold War Geographies – Registration Now Open

Registration is now open for the British Library’s Cold War Geographies symposium on Monday 16th January 2017, hosted by the Eccles Centre for American Studies.

The symposium builds on The British Library’s current major exhibition Maps of the Twentieth Century: Drawing the Line to explore and assess how the Cold War changed boundaries, restructured terrain and redefined concepts of space and place. In doing so it seeks to prompt discussion and assessment of the geopolitical impact of the Cold War upon both the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

The keynote, ‘Look Up, Look Down and Look Out! Making Sense of Cold War Geopolitics’ will be delivered by Professor Klaus Dodds, Professor of Geopolitics, Royal Holloway.
