Date / time: 10 October, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Being Human Festival Training: Event Delivery and Festival Top Tips - WORKSHOP

This training session will explore the practicalities of delivering a public engagement activity and the audience experience at the event.

The Being Human Festival team will share advice on how to prepare in the lead up to your activity to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible and will look at the small details that can make a big difference. The session will cover things like your event spaces, accessibility and inclusivity, communicating with your audience, and coordinating your team.

Previous festival organiser Casi Dylan (University of Glasgow) will share some of her lessons learned and top tips from running festival activities in the past, including the 2021 COP26 Festival Hub led by the University of Glasgow.

This free online session is the third in our redeveloped training programme. This session is aimed primarily at this year’s Being Human Festival organisers, as well as those interested in public engagement in the humanities. There will be opportunities throughout to discuss best practice in public engagement with research and how to create events and activities that will appeal to your intended audiences.

This event is free, but booking is required. It will be held online and joining details will be circulated via email to registered attendees. For more information and to register, please visit:
