The Old Palace, Dean’s Park, York, YO1 7JQ is hosting an interfaith event on Tuesday 15 November from 4pm-8.30pm
4 pm Papers from Dr Stefan Bauer and Bethany Hume from the University of York on themes addressed in an exhibition in the Old Palace ‘The Art of Disagreeing Badly: Religious Dispute in Early Modern Europe’
5 pm Break with refreshments, an opportunity to attend Evensong in the Minster or to have a curator led tour of the exhibition
6.30 pm Panel Discussion on ‘Disagreeing well – does religious belief help or hinder?’
Panel to include Rabbi Benjy Rickman, Dr Zaza El Sheikh (from Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich Community Mediation Services), Kevin Duffy (Director of Schools in Middlesbrough), John Adams (British Humanist Society) and the Revd Canon Dr. Christopher Collingwood with audience participation encouraged and welcomed
