A New Book Series on Criminalization & History: Temple Studies in Criminalization, History, and Society

Temple Studies in Criminalization, History, and Societyseries, edited by Baris Cayli Messina, aims to promote greater understanding of criminalization and its various patterns at the local, national, and global levels throughout modern and contemporary history across theoretical and methodological boundaries. The book series is guided by the conviction that issues surrounding criminalization not only reflect the forms of society and polity but also reveal how power relationships and entrenched social practices have evolved over time. Such an examination of individuals and communities in diverse geographies and historical periods throws into relief the social and political forces shaping the systems we inherit. Temple Studies in Criminalization, History, and Society provides a platform for emerging and established scholars to address these critical issues, pioneer interdisciplinary approaches, and spark a stimulating and scholarly debate.
