Date / time: 7 June - 8 June, All day
This event will consider the contexts and events of the summer 1969 crisis in Northern Ireland, with particular focus on the outbreak of violence and deployment of British troops on the streets in August that year, and how this was represented in the media. Why and how did the crisis erupt and why did it lead to three decades of the ‘Troubles’?
This is a free event, open to the public, but as numbers are limited, registration is required via Eventbrite before 5 June.
