Eilish is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the RHS, responsible for co-ordinating with the Society’s Teaching Portal steering group, administrating and editing the Teaching Portal website, as well as researching and reviewing historical, archival and teaching content. She is also working on the Marc Fitch funded digitisation project of G. W. Prothero‚Äôs papers and contributes to the RHS blog, Historical Transactions.

Eilish is a historian of early modern religion, politics, and society, specialising in the impact of Catholic penal laws in seventeenth-century Britain and inter-confessional networks between Catholics and Protestants. Her book, Catholics during the English Revolution, 1642-1660, was published in March 2021.
