The First World War - Perspectives of the Home Front

Bringing together various theatres of conflict, this one-day conference will address the ‘Home Front’, with key themes ranging from social and political upheaval, mobilisation, civilian-military interaction, commemoration and linkages to contemporary developments. The conference aims to add to our wider understanding of the First World War and how it impacted upon societal relationships and helped shape national identities and narratives.
