The role of the historian is ever evolving. The relationship with the public realm is, now more than ever, a crucial and important aspect to help us explore our many histories. Public engagement roles involve complex skills, code switching abilities and relationship management strategies.
In this session we will discuss and explore the pitfalls to avoid, and share tips and tricks to support your work, or help you better support those delivering public engagement work in your teams. We’ll draw on the expertise and knowledge of highly experienced public engagement practitioners, particularly those with experience of working with under-represented groups and sharing marginalised stories.
