Two days before the inauguration of president-elect Donald Trump, the Public History Unit welcomes Professor Andrew Preston for an assessment of the presidency of Barack Obama.
Professor of American History at Clare College, Cambridge, Preston has written widely on the history of U.S. foreign policy. His research integrates both domestic and international themes, his critically acclaimed Sword of the Spirit, Shield of Faith: Religion in American War and Diplomacy (2012) was a major study on the impact of religion on American foreign policy.
The lecture will begin at 19:00 and will be followed by a drinks reception to which all attendees are invited. Please arrive promptly to guarantee entry.
