The next talk in our biographical series will be on Wednesday 14 December at 2.30 p.m

Lucy Rogers will be speaking on ‘Pernel Strachey: Finding Her Place in the Twentieth-Century Academic Profession.’

Lucy Rogers is a second-year PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge, studying within the Faculty of English. She received a BA in English from University College London, followed by an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, before spending several years working in university outreach and admissions. Her doctoral research examines the role of female academics in the early development of English Literature as an academic discipline at Cambridge, drawing on a range of archival materials in order to explore the previously understudied influence of these women.
