Dacre Lecture by Boyd Hilton: Politics, Ideology, and the Making of the "Free Trade Nation": Nineteenth-Century Britain

Boyd Hilton will give the Dacre Lecture for 2015 on Friday 15 May at 5 p.m. in Corpus Christi College Oxford: ‘Politics, Ideology, and the Making of the “Free Trade Nation”: Nineteenth-Century Britain’.

The lecture, to which all are welcome, will be followed by a reception open to all who have attended.

The Dacre Lecture, normally an annual event, is held in Oxford under the auspices of the History Faculty.  The lectures are given by distinguished scholars who are asked to make their findings intelligible and interesting to non-specialist audiences.
