Anglo-Sikh Wars Seminar

The Victorian Military Society’s annual seminar 2023 will be on the Anglo-Sikh Wars 1845-6 and 1848-9. It will be held at the National Army Museum, Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea, London SW3 4HT on Saturday 1st April from 11am to 4pm.

Speakers include:

  • Gurinder Singh Mann of the Sikh Museum Initiative, on ‘Relics and Artefacts from the Anglo-Sikh Wars’
  • Neil Carleton of the Victoria & Albert Museum, on ‘Sikh Artillery during the 1st and 2nd Anglo-Sikh Wars’
  • Amarpal Singh Sidhu, military historian and author, on ‘The battlefield of Ferozeshah’
  • Christopher Brice, biographer of Field Marshal Gough, on ‘Lord Gough and the Anglo-Sikh Wars’
