Industrialisation and Society in Britain in the Era of the Industrial Revolution

A one day conference on social and economic aspects of the Industrial Revolution, run by the Arkwright Society at Cromford Mills and to be held in one of the historic buildings. The keynote lectures will be by Dr John Stevenson (Worcester College, Oxford) and Professor Carolyn Steedman, FBA (Warwick University). There will be sessions from 10.30 until approx. 16.30.

Cromford Mills are close to Cromford railway station (on the line from Nottingham and Derby to Matlock), and beside the A6 (between Belper and Matlock).
