Saturday 18th November, 2017 – Lecture – ‘Hope, Tragedy, Myths: Putting together theBritish Library’s 2017 Russian Revolution Exhibition’ – Dr Katya Rogatchevskaia, Lead Curator East European Collections at the British Library.

Saturday, 9th December, 2017 – Derek Knights Memorial Lecture – ‘Henry III’s Vision for Westminster Abbey’ Professor David Carpenter, Kings College London, Author of Magna Carta.

To be followed by the Branch Christmas Social (Social free to Central London Branch Members; £6 non-Members).Pre-booking for the Christmas Social required for everyone for catering purposes.

Saturday, 10th February, 2018 – Lecture ‘The Politics of Chivalry and Courtly Love at the Later Elizabethan Court’ – Dr. Janet Dickinson.

Saturday, 17th March, 2018 – Guided Walk ‘Old Father Thames’ – A walk with London City Guide Pat Smith.

Saturday, 7th April, 2018 – Lecture ‘Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole: Nursing Care inthe Crimean War’ – Dr. Vanessa Jenkins.

Sunday, 1st July, 2018 – Guided Walk – ‘St. James’s’ – Join Ann Archbold, a Qualified London City Guide, for a walk around this fascinating area of Gentlemen’s Clubs and Memorials to Heroes and a (Token!) Heroine.
