DCDC17: The Cultural Value of Collections and the Creative Economy

Discovering Collections, Discovering Communities (DCDC), is the conference that celebrates and explores how collections can be opened up in different ways and to different audiences through collaboration between archives, libraries, museums and other heritage organisations, both with each other and the academic sector.

This year, DCDC will be addressing the theme of ‘The Cultural Value of Collections and the Creative Economy’, focusing on the ways in which, by working collaboratively, we can gather, measure and present evidence of cultural value and impact at a time of increasing economic and political uncertainty.

Highlights of the conference include four keynote speakers, a new funders marketplace, a choice of three exciting pre-conference workshops, and the conference meal in the spectacular IWM north.
