The British History in the Long Eighteenth Century Seminar at the Institute of Historical Research in London is seeking early-stage PhD students to deliver three minute ‘lightening talks’ on their research. The event, part of the regular fortnightly seminar series, will be held, on Wednesday 29 November 2017.

  • Travel within Britain will be subsidized for all speakers who do not have access to departmental travel funds.
  • Drinks and an informal dinner will follow the seminar.
  • Great opportunity to demonstrate your presentation skills, to meet fellow postgrads, and to publicize your research.

If you would like to take part please submit your name, university affiliation, year of study, working thesis title / area of research, with a brief summary of your topic (one paragraph or less) by 11 October 2017.
